Crystal Luxury Air - to begin flying in mid-2017
In recent days Crystal Cruises entered into agreements with third parties to purchase two aircraft, the cruise line's parent company, Genting Hong Kong, disclosed.

The total cost is $110.5m.

In mid-2017, Crystal Cruises is planning to launch Crystal Luxury Air, featuring 14- to 28-day around-the-world private jet journeys.

In announcing its dramatic, multifaceted brand expansion last month, Crystal said its air trips would operate on a twin-aisle Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The aircraft, which typically seats 300, would fly 60 travelers in fully reclining business class seats.

At the time, the line talked about just one aircraft.

Trips would visit remote and/or sought-after locales, with accommodations at some of the world’s finest hotels and resorts, cuisine prepared by celebrity chefs inspired by the destination and world-class cultural entertainment.
