Helen Beck responsible for international sales and marketing at Crystal Cruises as Phillip Ordever moves to Amsterdam to steer Crystal River Cruises
Crystal Cruises' Phillip Ordever is moving to a new role as vp and md for Crystal River Cruises, while Royal Caribbean veteran Helen Beck will take over his former job as vp international sales and marketing.

Ordever will be responsible for developing strategy and managing the key sales and marketing functions for the new river brand extension. He'll be based in Amsterdam, at the operational headquarters for Crystal River Cruises, and will report to both Thomas Mazloum, chief operating officer, and Carmen Roig, svp marketing and sales.

'In his 12 years with Crystal, Phillip has had great success in his business initiatives, and I am confident that he will excel in this significant role for the highly anticipated Crystal River Cruises,' Crystal ceo and president Edie Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez also expressed her appreciation for 'such a talented individual as Helen' to lead Crystal's international sales and marketing, adding that Beck's expertise will be invaluable.

Beck will assume the responsibility for driving international sales and marketing initiatives and managing Crystal’s global sales managers. She will report directly to Roig and be based in the UK where the position previously resided.

Previously Beck was regional director international representatives EMEA, for Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises. With 30 years of travel industry experience and fluency in French, German and Spanish, she has been responsible for managing more than 16 international representatives in more than 40 countries.

Beck's first day at Crystal will be Feb. 2.
