Dawn Princess will have a new name when she joins P&O Australia
P&O Cruises Australia today announced Dawn Princess will be renamed Pacific Explorer when she transfers to its fleet in May 2017.

The 77,000gt Dawn Princess joined her sister ship Sun Princess in Australia in 2008.

Earlier this month it was announced that the Princess Cruises resident ship would become the largest to sail under P&O Cruises Australia’s flag, increasing P&O’s fleet, at this stage, to six.

Pacific Explorer will sail from Sydney during her inaugural season and her itineraries will be released next month.

It has also been announced that the 3,082-passenger Emerald Princess will join Princess’ local fleet in late 2016 for her first season of cruising Down Under.

The 113,000gt Emerald Princess will be based in Sydney from November 2016 until April 2017.
