The start of steel-cutting for Silver Origin was followed by a Champagne toast
Silversea Cruises' newbuilds were just announced Monday and already today Shipyard De Hoop cut steel for the expedition vessel Silver Origin.

The 100-passenger ship, to serve the Galápagos Islands program now operated by Silver Galapagos, is due for delivery in March 2020.

The Dutch yard said today's steel-cutting was saluted with Champagne.

Monday's announced orders also included two Evolution-class ships for Silversea at Germany's Meyer Werft.
