Frank Del Rio - NCLH will be announcing its technology strategy 'very, very soon'
With Royal Caribbean's Excalibur app and Carnival Corp.'s Ocean Medallion fresh in Wall Street analysts' thoughts, Frank Del Rio was asked today where Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings stands 'in terms of trying to keep up?'

'Stay tuned. It's coming,' he said.

'We're very happy to see our peers doing what they're doing. It's just a reflection of consumers and their everyday lives. Today it's a digital world.'

Del Rio said NCLH will be announcing its strategy 'very, very soon.'

Meanwhile, in terms of technology creating exciting activities that can boost on-board spending, the NCLH chief pointed to China ship Norwegian Joy's Galaxy Pavilion of virtual reality experiences.

'It's jam-packed every day. We plan to roll it out on future ships,' he said. Another hit has been Norwegian Joy's racetrack, the first at sea.
