Del Rio: Zika may be impacting demand for S. America cruises
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings isn't seeing cancellations due to the Zika virus, but what's unknown is how many bookings didn't materialize because of Zika concerns.

For that reason, ceo Frank Del Rio classifies Zika as a negative, though he said Tuesday that business remains strong and occupancy is in line with prior years.

Where Zika is having an effect, Del Rio thinks, is on the company's South America itineraries.

NCLH has 'a lot of capacity there,' he told analysts, and during the company's second quarter earnings call Tuesday, cfo Wendy Beck cited 'some softness' in demand for South America cruises.
