Dover Cruise Port welcomed back Disney Magic early Friday morning at the end of the ships' first round Britain cruise.

The 294mtr long ship earlier departed Dover on June 5 for an anti-clockwise 12-night round British Isles cruise which incuded a stop in Le Havre, France on Wednesday (providing option tour to Disneyland Paris).

During the Le Havre call Captain Andy McRonald and shipboard officials invited community leaders and local officials onboard the 2,700 passenger vessel for a traditional maritime plaque exchange ceremony to welcome the new ship and guests to port.

'These inaugural calls are not only a milestone in our Disney Cruise Line history, they give our guests the opportunity to create even more magical memories when sailing with us. In one voyage alone, they’ll experience a mix of new cultures, explore city streets and be immersed in the grandeur of sweeping country sides,' said the master.

Florence Thibaudeau Rainot, deputy mayor of Le Havre and Nicolas Chervy, deputy port captain underlined the tourism assets of Le Havre, a World Heritage Site and birthplace of Impressionism, and she pointed out that Le Havre will celebrate 500 years in 2017.

Meanwhile back in Dover, Disney Cruise Line is one of over 20 cruise lines and around 200,000 cruise passengers who will visit the South East English port this year, said Sonia Limbrick, head of the port's business development (cruise).
