Genting Dream, with Dream Cruises president Thatcher Brown on board, made its maiden call at MacLeod Island in Myanmar on Wednesday.

As earlier reported, Dream Cruises' parent company Genting Cruise Lines is jointly developing facilities at MacLeod Island with local partners to create a new private island-style destination. MacLeod Island is a located in the Myeik Archipelago in southern Myanmar.

Brown inspected the emerging infrastructure to recommend enhancements for Genting Dream's shore experience on the remote and pristine island.

The ship's call was preceded by Star Cruises' SuperStar Libra, which has visited twice.

Genting Dream recently began its extended deployment from Singapore.
