Norwegian Cruise Line's Camille Olivere talks with World Travel Holdings' David Crooks at the first general session
Dream Vacations, CruiseOne and Cruises Inc.—all part of World Travel Holdings—kicked off their weeklong 2018 National Conference aboard Norwegian Bliss. The ship departed Saturday from Los Angeles on a Mexican Riviera cruise that will be home to 1,000 travel professionals as they immerse themselves in continuing their education.

Q&A with Camille Olivere

Serving as the master of ceremonies and the host for the week, Drew Daly, general manager of network engagement & performance, welcomed a packed house to the first general session. Camille Olivere, SVP sales for Norwegian Cruise Line, participated in an informative question and answer session moderated by World Travel Holdings' David Crooks, SVP product & operations. They discussed how agents can benefit from selling NCL's 'Free at Sea' program as well as the line's 2019 deployment changes.

'National Conference is the most rewarding and important continuing education opportunity we offer each year, providing our network of travel advisers with one-of-a-kind engaging workshops and unlimited networking opportunities with our headquarters team and travel industry executives, all while experiencing first-hand one of the newest cruise ships in the industry,' Daly said. The training and events team, he added, has blended fun with education so attendees can maximize their time at sea and get inspired.

'Inspire' is the conference theme

The conference theme, 'Inspire,' was selected by past conference participants and serves as motivation for attendees to take advantage of every opportunity presented throughout the week. Travel advisers' ultimate goal is to inspire travel by using their knowledge to deliver a valuable service as they plan their clients' dream vacations.

At National Conference attendees can hear the latest industry insights on how they can inspire people to travel and see the world. They'll also share best practices and build stronger personal and professional relationships. Travel advisers will engage with each other, industry executives and more than 40 headquarters staff during the week as they learn new techniques to take their business to the next level.
