2018 programs are offered from Mongolia to the South Pole, Tibet to Bolivia
Silversea Cruises introduced an exclusive series of pre- and post-cruise land programs ranging from private helicopter service in Mongolia to vintage rail in India and Gulfstream jets in and out of Antarctica.

Prices for the 2018 'Couture Collection' average $34,000 per person for each five- to 11-day adventure, with the 11-day South Pole itinerary priced starting at $78,000.

'Our guests are seasoned luxury travelers looking to discover the least accessible corners of our planet, where nature can still astound with its untouched beauty,' Silversea executive chairman Manfredi Lefebvre d'Ovidio said.

The line has custom-crafted each element down to the smallest details.

Programs are limited to small groups and include most meals, beverages and exclusive culinary events. Luxury accommodations are provided at renowned boutique hotels, lodges and private tents. Each adventure is fully escorted.

For example, 'Rwanda & Serengeti: Walking in the Footsteps of Giants' explores Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park to see mountain gorillas in a two-day trekking experience. Also included is a game drive seeking the Big Five from a custom 4x4 in Tanzania's Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The eight-day program is priced starting at $25,000. Departures on Nov. 20 or 27, 2018, are combinable with Silver Discoverer expeditions departing on Nov. 16 or 27.

'White Desert & South Pole: Standing on the Bottom of the Earth' takes participants to Antarctica to explore spectacular ice caves and tunnels, climb a glacial island and photograph emperor penguins at Atka Bay. Travelers follow in the footsteps of Roald Amundsen and Robert Scott to reach the South Pole. Lodging is at the luxurious Whichaway Camp, while transport to and from Antarctica is on a Gulfstream business jet. The 11-day program is priced from $78,000. The Jan. 2 trip is combinable with Silver Spirit's Dec. 18, 2017, voyage.

'Mongolia: Echoes of Genghis Khan' takes travelers to visit one of the last remaining groups of reindeer herders, the Tsaatan community of northern Mongolia, and to beautiful Lake Khuvsgul. Participants will learn about the culture of the Kazakh people and witness their ancient tradition of hunting with golden eagles. The Naadam Festival (Three Games of Men) unfolds an ancient spectacle of horse racing, archery and wrestling. The program is available in six or seven days, priced from $33,000. Departures are on May 2 or 10, combinable with a Silver Shadow cruise departing Apr. 25 or May 10.

Other 'Couture Collection' trips include 'Namibia & Rovos Rail,' 'India: In the Path of Powerful Titans,' 'Australia: Exploring the Unforgiving and Unforgettable Outback,' 'Iceland: Revealing the Legends of Fire and Ice,' 'Tibet: Standing on the Rooftop of the World' and 'Bolivia: A Short Walk onto Another Universe.'
