Empress of the Seas sails from PortMiami
Empress of the Seas, the Miami-based ship Royal Caribbean has intended to sail to Cuba once approval is obtained, now has itineraries open for booking through year's end.

Some are longer than the originally announced four- and five-night getaways, with more port variety—but not Cuba.

Besides the four-night cruises to Key West and Nassau or CocoCay and five-night cruises to Key West and Cozumel are some three-, six-, seven- and eight-night itineraries.

A pair of three-night cruises, Nov. 28 and Dec. 5, visit Nassau and CocoCay.

A six-night Western Caribbean cruise to Puerto Costa Maya, Cozumel and Nassau is scheduled for Nov. 11, and a seven-night sailing on Nov. 21 goes to Nassau, Falmouth and Grand Cayman.

Seven-night 'Yucatán Escape' cruises head to Costa Maya, Roatán, Belize City and Cozumel on Dec. 8, and to Key West, Belize City, Costa Maya and Cozumel in a holiday version on Dec. 27. Another holiday 'Yucatán Escape,' on Dec. 19 and eight nights, visits Key West, Roatán, Belize City, Costa Maya and Cozumel.

Deals are available on all dates. Fares for the three-night cruises start at $329 per person plus taxes, fees and port expenses of $97.92. Four-night cruises are advertised from $216 plus $108.50 in taxes/fees. Five-night cruises start at $189 plus taxes/fees of $102.28. And seven-night sailings start at $428 plus $144.09 in taxes/fees.

Empress of the Seas returned to the Royal Caribbean fleet in late May following a $50m revitalization. It had operated for several years as Empress for Pullmantur.
