Sue Carper, manager, variety entertainment, retired from Norwegian Cruise Line after 45 years of service.

Colleagues and associates described her professionalism and passion for bringing talent to NCL.

'Sue Carper is an icon in the cruise entertainment industry,' said Richard Ambrose, vp entertainment, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. 'A lot of today’s premiere entertainers got their professional start with Norwegian Cruise Line and it’s because Sue nurtured them to become the performers they are today.'

Edwin Rojas of Rojas Talent Group in Las Vegas called Carper an 'industry legend.'

When Carper joined NCL in January 1972 as a temp in the entertainment department, the line had four ships: Skyward, Sunward, Southward and Starward. Today it fields 15 ships and counting.

Entertainment has always been one of Norwegian's strengths, a testament to Carper and her department.
