A record 150,000 passengers anticipated in 2018
Central Norwegian port of Trondheim is anticipating a record 150,000 passengers in 2018 with Pullmantur’s Zenith returning for more turnaround calls numbering seven.

Of the 85 ships booked so far for next year, five calls will stay in port over 24 hours duration.

AIDAvita will visit four times and each stay will last for 25 hours, whilst The World will also stay more than 24 hours next year.

With the longer ports stays the destination is preparing a range of evening excursions as well as new culinary and authentic tours including home visits, informs Maria Kühnl, cruise coordinator for Trondheim.

Trondheim Port Authority is adding a new 200 ton bollard on the western end of the cruise berth to improve mooring for longer vessels and shoreside it is enlarging bus parking facilities to accommodate 20 vehicles, up from 16.
