Wayne Deed takes up his new appointment October 10
Tourism Fiji’s former regional director New Zealand, Wayne Deed, will take up his new appointment as Auckland-based global director of sales and marketing for South Sea Cruises Group on October 10.

The South Sea Cruises Group is the umbrella for Blue Lagoon Cruises, which has operated in Fiji for more than 60 years.

Its 68-passenger Fiji Princess is based at Port Denarau, a short drive from Nadi International Airport, and offers three-, four- and seven-night itineraries to the remote Yasawa Islands Group.

Cruise highlights include visits to local villages and schools and the company’s private beach, Nanuya Lailai.

South Sea’s ceo Peter Duncan said Deed has extensive experience across the tourism industry and he will be an asset to the group.

‘We welcome him to the team and look forward to the opportunities this appointment brings,’ Duncan said.

The company has representatives in Australia, New Zealand and the UK/Europe, and Duncan said Australia is a very important market for Blue Lagoon Cruises.
