First Azamazing evening in Scotland

First Azamazing evening in Scotland
Hopetoun House and Estate provided a stunning backdrop on the outskirts of Edinburgh for Azamara Club Cruises' first ever AzAmazing Evening in Scotland.

Guests were welcomed by a Scottish tribal band playing traditional music with an eclectic mix of Celtic beats, before exploring the State Apartments with a guided tour to the sounds of a Clàrsach - a traditional Scottish harp and one of the oldest instruments in Scotland.

The entertainment continued in the grand ballroom with a ‘nip’ of whisky and a Scottish Ceilidh group accompanied by a traditional Gaelic Dance by the Hopetoun House Dancers. Others chose to sip cocktails at the Gin bar in the Stables, listening to the upbeat tunes of a jazz trio.

A fireworks finale over the 18th century English-style gardens and Scottish marching band marked a spectacular ending to the evening.

Larry Pimentel, president and ceo of Azamara Club Cruises flew over from Miami for the event, he commented: 'We are committed to offering our guests an unparalleled opportunity to discover and explore the inspiring places we visit, and I'm overjoyed to be a part of our first AzAmazing Evening here in Scotland.'

Richard Twynam, md UK & Ireland, Azamara Club Cruises said, 'This 18th century Scottish estate is a magnificent setting for this special evening, and another example of the exceptional destination immersive experiences we offer.'

Guests of Azamara Quest who attended the evening on Sunday then embarked on the ship’s British Open and Highlights of Norway voyage.
