First Carnival Icy Strait call in new Alaska round-trip from Long Beach
For the first time, Carnival Cruise Line will operate a 14-day Alaska round-trip from Long Beach, California. The September 2017 cruise features Glacier Bay and the line's first call at Icy Strait Point.

This cruise aboard Carnival Miracle will sail Sept. 2-16. Other ports are Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau, Sitka and Vancouver, BC.

Part of the 'Carnival Journeys' series, the sailing offers a beefed-up enrichment program with activities on topics ranging from photography and cooking to arts and crafts and celestial navigation, along with a 1980s-themed 'Throwback Sea Day.' Local entertainment and cultural opportunities will be available at the ports.

In addition, Carnival Legend is scheduled for 38 seven- and eight-day Alaska voyages in 2017 and 2018, including seven week-long Glacier Bay cruises next year.

The seven- and eight-day voyages operate round-trip from Seattle or from Vancouver to Seattle, visiting ports including Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan and Victoria, BC, plus a full-day cruising Tracy Arm Fjord or Glacier Bay.
