FleetPro gears up to launch four ocean, three river ships
FleetPro Passenger Ship Management is preparing to launch four ocean vessels in May and June along with three new river vessels in spring and early summer.

Iceland Pro Cruises will inaugurate Ocean Diamond for a series of around Iceland cruises, and some Iceland-Greenland itineraries. Haimark Line is introducing Saint Laurent (ex Sea Voyager), which was built for Great Lakes cruises and expedition-style Panama Canal and South America cruises.

Adventure Canada is launching their Arctic Canada program with Ocean Endeavour, refurbished for Arctic and Antarctic expedition cruising, and the Nova Star cruise-ferry will resume service between Portland, Maine, and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, starting June 1.

The four ships' introductions are a new milestone for FleetPro’s effort to manage high quality and demanding passenger ship programs and itineraries, according to Hans Rood, evp commercial, FleetPro Passenger Ship Management. He noted each client has specific requirements for on-board product delivery, hotel operations, expedition style and itineraries.

FleetPro will also inaugurate Avalon Waterways' Avalon Tranquility II on the Seine River and Avalon Tapestry II, sailing the classic Rhine cruise routes between Amsterdam and Basel, in March. This makes 15 deluxe Avalon river vessels under FleetPro management.

Plus, Vantage Deluxe World Travel's River Voyager will make its inaugural cruise on June 25. The new 442-foot vessel, built for 176 passengers, will sail on the Rhine, Main and Danube, all the way to the Black Sea.

'With the addition of three brand-new vessels built mainly for the North American clientele, 50% of our entire operated river fleet sails for the English-speaking market,' noted Robert Straubhaar, president and ceo of the FleetPro Group.

FleetPro Ocean (formerly ISP) and FleetPro River (formerly River Advice) manage a combined fleet in excess of 60 vessels. The team will be at Cruise Shipping Miami this month.
