Gordon Dirker's hiring signals Celestyal's greater investment in trade partnerships in North America including the addition of three business development managers
Gordon Dirker, previously VP Americas at Hurtigruten, joined Celestyal Cruises as VP business development - North America, responsible for all North American field sales activities.

All of Celestyal's business development directors in North America now report to Dirker, who answers directly to North America president Leslie Peden.

Dirker's appointment 'signals the next stage in building and investing in our trade partnerships, which includes the addition of a further three business development managers and the creation of a new marketing executive role for North America,' Peden said.

Dirker was with Hurtigruten from 2014 until 2017, where he worked to grow the Americas business, reporting to the global VP sales in Oslo. He established the company's sales operation in Seattle and increased sales by 88% while also signing new preferred distribution partnerships with key North American consortia.

Before Hurtigruten Dirker was the director of sales at Brendan Vacations, part of Travel Corporation, where he managed national sales efforts.
