Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines bags over £3m of bookings on 2018/19 programme launch day

In 2018/19, Fred. Olsen's fleet will be visiting 228 destinations in 73 countries
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines saw its most successful sales day ever on Tuesday March 7 2017, with bookings totalling over £3m for the day, following the launch of its new 2018/19 cruise programme to Oceans loyalty club members.  

This represents an increase of 15% on the same launch day last year.

Justin Stanton, sales and marketing director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: 'Last year's launch was a hard one to beat, so this is excellent news.'

The majority of bookings are coming through trade partners, he observed.

The new 2018/19 cruise programme went on general sale Thursday.Fred. Olsen’s Top 5 bestsellers in 2018/19 so far are: Balmoral’s 17-night Islands of the Mediterranean cruise, ex Southampton on April 3, 2018; Boudicca’s 22-night Rome, Amalfi, Tuscany & the Italian Rivieracruise, ex Dover on May 30, 2018; Black Watch’s 15-night Fjords of Greenland cruise, ex Liverpool on August 17, 2018; Black Watch’s 26-night Canada in the Fall cruise, ex Liverpool on September 22, 2018  and Braemar’s 23-night Adriatic cruise, ex Southampton on October 2, 2018.

In 2018/19, Fred. Olsen's fleet of four smaller ships – Balmoral, Braemar, Boudicca and Black Watch – will be visiting 228 destinations in 73 countries around the globe, plus 91 areas of scenic cruising, on over 135 different itineraries.
