Galveston sets Cruise Terminal 2 expansion ceremony

Galveston sets Cruise Terminal 2 expansion ceremony
The Port of Galveston along with Moody National Bank, Texas First Bank, Hometown Bank and Webber L.L.C. plans a Tuesday ceremony to mark the expansion of Cruise Terminal 2.

The three Galveston County community banks worked together on financing for the facility's $13m expansion. Each bank pitched in for the funding package so Cruise Terminal No. 2 could be enlarged to accommodate bigger ships and more passengers.

When completed next spring, Cruise Terminal No. 2 will offer 150,000 square feet of space with seating capacity for more than 2,000. The port currently handles more than 1m passenger moves a year.
