BranchUp is led by Cruise Lines International Association Hall of Fame inductee Michael Drever, former CEO and founder of Expedia CruiseShipCenters. The service is free for travel agents and provides automated postings of inspirational travel content as well as promotional offers from suppliers.
'Everything is personalized to the individual agent,' Drever said. 'Their fans can like, share and get in touch with their agent directly from the post through Facebook messenger, email or phone.'
Although the system is turnkey, agents have the flexibility to select their preferred suppliers, edit, reschedule or remove upcoming posts.
Cruise Lines, hotels, tour operators and destination marketing groups are embracing the service because of the simultaneous, three-way connection among the supplier, travel agent and their clients, Giersdorf said.
'BranchUp is a natural fit for Global Voyages Group,' he added. 'It extends our integrated marketing technology and expertise in supporting sales and service strategies for suppliers through the travel agent community.'
