The 166,500-square-foot facility will have an 'iconic' look
Norwegian Cruise Line's new PortMiami terminal, recently approved by Miami-Dade County commissioners, is on a fast track, with an April 26 groundbreaking ceremony planned.

The new Terminal B is to be ready by early November, in advance of Norwegian Encore's Miami debut.

Frank Del Rio, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, and Andy Stuart, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line, are set to be on hand for the groundbreaking, along with officials from PortMiami, Miami-Dade County and lead designer Bermello Ajamil & Partners.

Del Rio has promised an 'iconic terminal that will contribute to Miami's world-famous skyline and strengthen its position as the Cruise Capital of the World.'

Designs for the 166,500-square-foot facility were revealed at Seatrade Cruise Global in March.
