Hapag-Lloyd Cruises appoints new head of sales for UK & Ireland as Flanagan retires

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises announced the appointment of Aishling McLoughlin as the new sales representative for the UK & Ireland, as Europe's second largest source market continues develop strongly for the luxury operator.

McLoughlin takes over responsibility for sales in the market place from Mike Flanagan, who has retired after eight years driving sales across the UK & Ireland.

In her new role, McLoughlin will work closely with her colleagues in the sales team based at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ head office in Hamburg.

Michael Steffl, head of international sales at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises comments: 'It is with sadness that we have said a fond farewell to Mike Flanagan, however, we wish to thank him for his support and wish him every personal happiness for his retirement years. In his place we welcome Aishling and feel confident her strong experience will benefit to further support our sales activities in the United Kingdom.'

Aishling, who has held previous positions in the hotel and travel sector, including with TUI tour operations, says: 'Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is such a prestigious brand and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to be working with them, building on their international business achieved to date.'
