P&O's passengers are being encouraged to 'have one for the Reef'
P&O Cruises Australia teamed up with a social enterprise beer company to support the conservation of the Great Barrier Reef.

Great Barrier Reef Beer, a mid-strength pale ale, is now being served in P&O’s five resident ships.

At least half the profit from the sale of the Good Beer Co’s product goes to the Australian Marine Conservation Society.

P&O, which carries tens of thousands of passengers to Queensland to experience the UNESCO World Heritage-listed destination, is encouraging its passengers to ‘have one for the Reef.’

'Relaxing with a cold beer while on holidays is such an Aussie thing to do,’ president Sture Myrmell said. Passengers can now ‘have one for the Reef,’ knowing they are helping contribute to a worthy cause.

‘The Great Barrier Reef needs our help now more than ever,’ Australian Marine Conservation Society director Darren Kindleysides said. ‘We hope everyone who likes a beer with help protect the Reef by supporting Great Barrier Reef beer.’
