Historic dual berthing at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal

Historic dual berthing at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal
Following the Port Authority of NSW’s upgrade of the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Sydney’s Circular Quay, there will be an historic dual berthing by Ponant’s Le Soleal and Azamara Quest next Saturday.

The installation of a new mooring dolphin at the northern end of the wharf will allow the 142mtr Le Soleal and the 180mtr Azamara Quest to make a dual berthing for the first time since the OPT opened on December 20, 1960.

The 200-passenger Le Soleal will be on her maiden voyage to Sydney while the 686-passenger Azamara Quest is making her second call as part of her inaugural season in Australia.

Meanwhile, Silversea’s 382-passenger Silver Whisper and the 458-passenger Seabourn Odyssey will be docked at the White Bay Cruise Terminal and White Bay No. 4.

Cruise Lines International Association commercial director Brett Jardine said the visit by four luxury ships with high-end passengers on the same day is great news for the local economy.
