Holland America Line is introducing two new director-level positions within the sales team: director, field sales East and director, field sales West.

Travel industry veterans

Travel industry veterans Cathy Kusuma was appointed for the East, and Anthony Cooper for the West. Both will report to VP sales Eva Jenner.

Kusuma and Cooper will help guide the divisional sales teams, including senior managers, business development managers, inside sales representatives and sales support.

'Cathy comes to us from one of our longest and strongest travel partner relationships, and Anthony’s expertise is well-known to those of us who have worked with him for the past seven years through our office in Sydney,' Jenner said.

Cathy Kusuma

Kusuma began her travel career with Holland America working on board in entertainment and shore excursion roles. Most recently she worked at Cruise Planners, where she was senior director of strategic partnerships and agent engagement.

In that role, Kusuma managed the travel agent training programs, online agent university, in-person training events and more. She also was responsible for driving additional revenue streams through sales account management of cruise, tour, tourist board and ancillary/value-add brands. Kusuma is based in South Florida.

Anthony Cooper

Cooper brings more than 20 years of travel industry experience. For the past seven years he has been a part of the Holland America and Seabourn sales force in Australia, receiving multiple awards and acknowledgments for his sales excellence.

In his latest role, Cooper managed the national account portfolio for Australia, working closely with many large consortia. He has relocated to HAL's Seattle headquarters.
