Huelva hosts Thomson Cruises' representatives
Representatives of Thomson Cruises visited the Port of Huelva, as well as the various tourist attractions of the city and province in order to make an assessment of the possibilities of this new Southern European cruise destination.

The delegation had the opportunity to visit the city of Huelva, Columbian places and Caravels dock, Minas de Rio Tinto, Niebla, Park Doñana, El Rocio and a wine cellar County.

The president of the Port Authority of Huelva, Javier Barrero, stressed the efforts that the Port of Huelva is devoting along withall local stakeholders to help Huelva grow its cruise business.

Huelva Cruise Network, comprising local tourism organizations, transport and trade, city of Huelva, Tourist Board, Chamber of Commerce and Onubense Federation of Employers, shipping agents, shipping companies, guides, the State Security Forces, port and Maritime Authority, meets regularly to coordinate the arrival and departure of each call.

In addition, the Chamber of Commerce of Huelva has launched 'Viva Huelva Cruises' where local companies can obtain accredition for providing  quality service to cruise passengers.

Seville and the Portuguese Algarve are both located 45 minutes from Huelva providing alternative draws for visiting passengers.
