National Hurricane Center's five-day forecast for Hurricane Matthew as of Sunday evening
Monday update: Carnival Elation's cruise from Jacksonville today will replace Half Moon Cay and Nassau with Key West and Freeport. At least four cruise lines on Sunday revised itineraries to steer clear of Hurricane Matthew, which remains a powerful Category 4 hurricane.

A hurricane warning was in effect for Jamaica, Haiti and Cuba's eastern provinces of Guantanamo, Santiago de Cuba, Holguin, Granma and Las Tunas, while Camaguey province and the southeastern Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands were under a hurricane watch.

Carnival Cruise Line revised three additional routes.

Carnival Ecstasy's Oct. 2 week-long cruise from Charleston will miss Half Moon Cay, Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas. Instead, the ship will visit Cozumel on Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Baltimore-based Carnival Pride will also skip Half Moon Cay and Freeport, as well as Grand Turk, on its Oct. 2 cruise. The ship will head north to call at New York on Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and at Saint John, New Brunswick, on Thursday, also from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sailing from Port Canaveral on Oct. 2, Carnival Victory's four-night cruise will visit Nassau on Monday from noon to 8 p.m. and Freeport on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Royal Caribbean International revised three itineraries.

Port Everglades-based Allure of the Seas will visit scheduled ports but dates and times were revised for the Oct. 2 week-long cruise. Allure will spend Monday at sea, call at Cozumel on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and spend Wednesday at Sea. The ship will visit Falmouth on Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and stop at Labadee on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Freedom of the Seas' Oct. 2 week-long cruise from Port Canaveral will substitute San Juan for CocoCay. The San Juan call is scheduled for Tuesday, from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Enchantment of the Seas' Oct. 3 four-night cruise from Miami will not be able to visit the Bahamas and will head to Key West instead. Thursday's call there will be from 1:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Disney Cruise Line's Disney Dream will sail a revised four-night itinerary from Port Canaveral on Oct. 3 that will call at Cozumel on Wednesday.

Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Sky cruise on Oct. 3 from Miami will miss the Bahamas and call instead at Key West on Tuesday and Cozumel on Wednesday.
