Iceland Travel creates Justin Bieber-inspired adventure tour

Iceland Travel creates Justin Bieber-inspired adventure tour
Following quick on the heels of Canadian singer Justin Bieber’s latest video release ‘I’ll show you’, filmed in Iceland,  the cruise team at Iceland Travel has drawn together a new tour taking in the video’s locations.

‘We knew about the filming and were standing by for the release, but it was only after actually seeing the video were we able to bring the locations together and create the tour,’ says Liz Gammon of Iceland Travel.

‘I’m not sure we would actively encourage passengers to strip down to their underwear and take a dip in freezing glacial water amongst calving icebergs, however idyllic the scene - but kudos to Justin for braving the elements and revealing his Viking side,’ she quipped.

The video, which has chalked up over 8.9m Youtube hits in two days, is shot entirely in Iceland and features many hot spots and landmarks of the south coast. Alongside bathing in freezing glacier water - an energetic Bieber is shown running behind the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, skate boarding atop the wreckage of an old US Navy Douglas Dakota DC 3 at the black sand beach of Sólheimasandur and exploring the environs of the Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon.

‘The new full day tour entitled “We’ll show you Iceland” takes in almost all of the locations - the only exception being the glacial lagoon of Jökulsárlón which is too far away to be reached within the time frame of a standard one day call from the port of Reykjavik. That said, it can definitely be done for those ships staying overnight,’ commented Gammon.

‘We have no doubt this tour is going to be a huge hit with families and Bieber fans, but, as with all of our exclusive tours we will be keeping numbers capped in line with our in-house environmental policies and to ensure the best possible experience for passengers,’ concludes Gammon.
