Ground handler IDNZ Destination Management has hired two key account managers as it prepares for a busy summer for New Zealand’s booming cruise sector.

As reported here, the arrival of Royal Caribbean International’s Radiance of the Seas in Wellington on October 4 marked the start of the 2017/18 season.

Debbie Summers, IDNZ executive director and chair of the New Zealand Cruise Association, has appointed Kristin Penzel and Rohanca du Plessis to manage the company’s relationships with key cruise partners.

Penzel, a German who has moved to New Zealand, has worked for Cruiseabout and handled shore excursions for AIDA Cruises.

South African du Plessis joins the IDNZ team after a career at sea where she worked on board Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ ships.
