Improved crew and passenger services at Hakata Port

Improved crew and passenger services at Hakata Port
Hakata Port’s new cruise facility at Chuo Wharf which opened to cruise ships and passengers in May this year is enabling the Japanese port to complete immigration procedure of over 2,000 passengers an hour.

In addition, the free WiFi is proving popular among cruise ship crews, reports the Hakata Port & Harbour Bureau.

The terminal also houses two foreign currency exchange machines for visiting passengers and crew placed by two leading local banks. The Bank of Fukuoka now offers two money withdrawal machines within the city: one at Chuo Wharf Cruise Centre open when cruise ships are in port as well as at Tenjin Lion Square, located next to the Fukuoka City Toursit Information Centre.

Nishi-Nippon City Bank has an exchange machine inside the terminal, as well as the city’s Dazaifi branch open on weekdays.
