Seven Seas Explorer's Canyon Ranch SpaClub will offer an outdoor infinity pool and a thermal suite including an infrared sauna. Treatments developed with beauty expert Red Flower will premiere on the new ship before expanding across the Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet.

The cocoon served as the inspiration for the spa's design team at RTKL, interpreted abstractly in the aesthetics and envisioned as a metaphor for spa-goers' rejuvenation. The reception area is decorated with crisscrossing light-grained wooden bands that evoke the silk wrappings woven into a chrysalis.

Decorative light fixtures cast small twinkling lights off an abstract Swarovski crystal sculpture, forming reflections on the marble floor to evoke an aura of woodland twilight.

There are eight treatment rooms for Red Flower rituals such as 'Red Flower Naturally Nourishing: A Ritual of the Arctic Sea.' This 100-minute experience has antioxidants and omegas 3, 6 and 9, sourced from the Arctic Circle. After an organic birch hydrotherapy mineral soak, a deep tissue massage uses Arctic berry and evergreen oils.

Among the other Red Flower rituals is a Japan-inspired six-step treatment incorporating flowers and citrus oils, a ginger grass and bamboo scrub, a rice bran wrap and acupressure facial massage, a mineral soak infused with hinoki and chlorophyll oils and a shiatsu massage.

Before treatments, passengers can relax in a foyer with heated loungers.

After treatments, a thermal suite provides various hot-to-cold experiences including an infrared sauna, an aromatic steam room, a cold room and a shower room with various distributions of water flow, chroma-therapeutic lighting and audio effects that mimic sounds like thunderstorms and waterfalls.

On a private outdoor deck, a terrace filled with plush, partially covered lounge chairs surrounds an infinity-edge plunge pool at the stern of the ship.

Adjacent to the spa is a full-service salon with four hair, two manicure and two pedicure stations. From the spa, a circular staircase leads to the fitness center one deck above. It offers free weights and machines, cardio workout equipment and space for cycling, yoga and Pilates classes.

Seven Seas Explorer's maiden voyage is scheduled for July 20, 2016.
