Interbrands USA, a division of Interbrands Wines & Spirits, announced Deborah Golden, who joined Interbrands USA in 2014 as vp sales and marketing, will be leaving to pursue other interests and her own Miami-based consulting business, Golden and Company.

'Deborah has put Interbrands USA on the map and been a true ambassador for our brand,' Nick Thilén, managing director/ceo of Interbrands USA in Weston, Florida, told Seatrade Cruise News.

Golden's knowledge of wine and spirits and her relationships with key people have been instrumental in establishing Interbrands in the cruise business, Thilén said. Her 'experience, strong communication, management and organizational skills coupled with her artistic and creative abilities have made her an invaluable asset to the company,' he added.

Golden said she used her contacts and reputation to take 'a brand-new company and bring it to the forefront of people's minds.' She also increased sales and distribution for the brand partners.

Lars Münter, travel retail director for Interbrands Wines & Spirits, will assume responsibility for the cruise industry. He is based in Copenhagen and has been involved in developing the cruise business since early 2014.
