Intercruises appoints North America president

Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services appointed Simon O’Sullivan as president for its business in North America, filling a role previously held by Laura Vlad until 2016.

Currently director, Northern Europe

O'Sullivan joined Intercruises in 2009 and currently serves as director, Northern Europe, leading the business in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK and Ireland.

Over the next few months he will transition into the North American role, in which O'Sullivan will lead all aspects of the business in the US and Canada. He will relocate to Florida later this year to work from Intercruises' Fort Lauderdale office.

Experienced and well-respected

'Simon is an experienced and well-respected leader in the cruise industry. He has led the ongoing growth of our business in Northern Europe, developing strong teams that have consistently delivered excellent service. Over the last few years in North America we have built a robust management team and now Simon will lead them in driving our business forward,' Intercruises Managing Director Olga Piqueras said.

O'Sullivan will work alongside the existing Intercruises North America management team, including Martin Jackson, VP turnarounds; Alex Anderson, VP transportation & special projects; Edgar Huaitalla, director port operations; Shandra Stoeterau, manager product development, and Cynthia Heerspink, manager shorex operations.
