Brett Jardine praised for his role during Australia's extraordinary cruise industry growth
CLIA Australasia commercial director Brett Jardine, who joined what was then the International Cruise Council Australasia in 2007, will leave at the end of next month.

Jardine’s departure is part of a major reshuffle announced by CLIA Australasia chairman Steve Odell.

Jardine told Seatrade Cruise News he has no immediate plans.

‘I will take a long break and consider my future,’ he said. ‘I am open to all offers.’

Odell said Jardine has played an important role in the organisation’s transition during a decade of extraordinary growth for the Australian cruise industry.

He welcomed new md Joel Katz and announced two new appointments—Vera Huntink as marketing manager and Dimity McCredie as advocacy director.

McCredie was most recently Carnival Australia’s general counsel.

Odell said Peter Kollar, head of training and development for the past five years, will take on additional global training responsibilities, with the new title head of training and development-international.

He said a new position focused on membership engagement, events and CLIA’s executive partnership program, has been filled and a separate announcement about this will follow.
