Le Havre celebrated a year of weekly calls of AIDAprima on Thursday.

After a visit at the harbour station, Le Havre Cruise Club representatives invited the ship’s master Captain Jens Janauscheck to a ceremony at the Shipowner's house, a local heritage site .

Laurence Besancenot, deputy mayor of Le Havre, handed the master a celebration plaque which symbolises the architecture of Le Havre.

She highlighted the outstanding 5-month program of events which will be launched on May 27 on the occasion of the 500 anniversary of Le Havre.

The port city will also be in the spotlight in early June when MSC Cruises’ newest ship, MSC Meraviglia, is named on June 3, 2017.
