Lisbon's new cruise terminal officially opening on Nov.10

Lisbon will officially open its new cruise terminal on November 10, 2017.

Lisbon Cruise Terminals (LCT), operator of the cruise facilities in the Portguese capital and part of Global Ports Holding, has invested around Euros22m in a berth of 1,490mtr long able to accommodate vessels up to 12mtr draft and a new terminal building which includes 360 car parking spaces, 80 bus/taxi parking spaces, ship stores area, automated gangways, latest CCVT technology and up to seven scanner inspection lines.

The top of the low level building also has a viewing platform providing a panoramic view of the River Tagus and cruise port on the one side and the city on the other.

The facilities cover 13,800 sq mtr in total. There are also bars and restuarants, shops and crew facalities inside.

Lisbon is hosting Seatrade Cruise Med 2018 taking place September 19-20, 2018 at FIL - Lisbon Exhibition and Congress Centre. Participants will get the opportunity to see the new terminal during the two day event.
