The ceremony was also attended by Wang Hong, the party secretary of Baoshan District and director general of Shanghai International Cruise Business Institute; Arnold Donald, president and ceo of Carnival Corp. & plc; and Jan Swartz, group president, Princess Cruises and Carnival Australia. Chinese travel agent partners and national and local media were on hand.

The ship features specialty dinner menus in Le Mer and Harmony designed exclusively for Princess by Michelin star-awarded chefs Emmanuel Renaut and Richard Chen. Other features include expansive duty-free shopping and an immersive musical and cinematic production 'Fantastic Journey,' incorporating drones and video mapping. The new Camp Discovery program offers children's activities.
Swartz called Majestic Princess 'the perfect demonstration of an East meets West international cruise vacation experience.'
