A first venture at sea for Champneys
Marella Cruises announced a new onboard partnership with the UK’s biggest health spa, Champneys. The collaboration will be a first for both brands.

From May 2018, customers on board Marella Explorer, the cruise line’s newest ship, will be able to relax in the new, state-of-the-art onboard spa, offering facials, body wraps, massages, manicures, acupuncture as well as a salon, wellness centre and relaxation room.

Distribution and cruise director at TUI UK & Ireland, parent company of Marella Cruises, Helen Caron, said: ‘We’re delighted to announce this partnership with Champneys onboard our fantastic new addition Marella Explorer. We’re proud to be known for the friendliest service at sea and Champneys’ world-class service really mirrors this.'

In addition to four resorts and a spa hotel, Champneys also operate six city spas, two colleges and a range of globally recognised products.

Entering the fleet as Marella Cruises’ biggest ship yet, Marella Explorer will be based in Palma, Majorca from May 2018.

There are currently five ships in the Marella Cruises fleet, Marella Dream, Marella Celebration, Marella Discovery, Marella Discovery 2 and Spirit which won’t take the Marella name as she leaves the fleet after her final sailing next summer. Majesty will continue to sail as Thomson Majesty until November 26, 2017.
