Midge Ure to perform on Queen Mary 2 Atlantic crossing
Musician Midge Ure is to perform on Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 during a transatlantic crossing bound for New York in September.

The former Ultravox artist will present three performances of a stage show called 'Midge Ure Unplugged in Concert' as well as a personal interview appearance hosted by the entertainment manager.

Ure is also famed for his leading contribution to the production of the Band Aid charity single Do They Know It’s Christmas? in 1984 and the staging of the  Live Aid charity concert a year later.

The seven-night Atlantic crossing departs Southampton on September 20, 2016, arriving in New York on September 27.  Queen Mary 2 returns to her scheduled transatlantic service after a major refit taking place in June.

The singer becomes the latest in a line up of renowned guests to perform in recent times on board with Cunard including Sting, Gregory Porter, James Taylor and Crosby, Stills and Nash.
