MSC appoints new gm for France, Belgium and Luxembourg; Eschena takes on corporate role
MSC Cruises has appointed Patrick Pourbaix as the new general manager for France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

The 25-year cruise veteran has held the position of deputy general manager for Costa Cruises in France since 2011 and had previous roles in Costa Croisières, Festival Cruises and Transcruise.

The highly respected Belgian replaces Erminio Eschena in MSC's French headquarters in Paris and will report directly to company chairman and ceo Gianni Onorato.
 
Eschena, who has headed MSC France since 2008, will remain Paris-based as manager for corporate matters and industrial realationships for MSC group, in charge of developing relations with French, Belgian and European institutional partners and other industry players, and reporting directly to Pierfrancesco Vago, MSC Cruises' executive chairman.
