Achille Staiano, vp of global sales for MSC Cruises, said Guerreri’s appointment reflects the company’s strong commitment to this ‘high-potential market.’
Staiano said the aim is to create an ever stronger link between MSC Cruises and the local market.
Strengthening trade relationships
‘Consequently, to further strengthen relationships with the local trade to maximise together opportunities to grow the presence of local consumers to the overall guest mix on board both our current and future fleet,’ he said.
Guerreri was most recently business unit director on board retail, casino, spa, photo and other revenues and is a member of the company’s senior management team.
Newly created chairman position
He replaces Lynne Clarke who becomes MSC Cruises’ chairman for the region.
‘I want to sincerely thank Lynne for her amazing long-term commitment and dedication to MSC Cruises,’ Staiano said. ‘Over the past nine years she has worked hard to raise our brand’s awareness in the Australasian market, turning MSC Cruises into a well-known brand,’ he said.
‘As chairman Australasia she will encounter new challenges that will allow her to keep growing along with MSC Cruises for years to come.’
