In an exclusive partnership with global hairstyling brand Jean Louis David, MSC Cruises is introducing Jean Louis David salons across its fleet by the end of the year.

Services ranging from a simple shampoo and style to a revitalizing hydrating oil therapy will be provided by Jean Louis David-trained stylists.

Jean Louis David is known as a hairstyling innovator. The first salon opened in Paris in 1961, and the brand now operates more than 1,000 salons worldwide.

'Just like MSC Cruises, Jean Louis David has always sought for excellence in customer service,' said Franck Provost, owner of Jean Louis David. 'Both brands offer fashion and lifestyle experience. Bringing them together made immediate sense when it comes to enhancing beauty and providing pleasure and well-being.'

The MSC salons will have land-based pricing and a range of products available for purchase.

The salons are already aboard MSC Preziosa, MSC Fantasia and MSC Poesia, and they'll be on the line's newbuilds, beginning with MSC Meraviglia in June 2017.

The Jean Louis David styling complements beauty and body treatments in the MSC Aurea Spa, which provides a Balinese-style experience with more than 20 types of massages, 20 body treatments, 26 facials and manicures and pedicures. A cedar wood sauna and Turkish bath, medi-spa and anti-aging treatments are other elements offered.
