Among the new MSC for Me features, travelers can message each other without paying for Internet service
MSC Cruises’ MSC Grandiosa, the first of the Meraviglia-Plus class and due to launch later this year, will introduce new MSC for Me features such as improved pre-planning capabilities. On-board packages and shore excursions can be booked through the MSC for Me app and added to personal agendas.

New friends and family locator

Passengers can purchase a special Bluetooth MSC for Me wristband with individual location mapping, a pay service that is being introduced in addition to the Kids Locator launched in 2017.

MSC for Me chat

Travelers can message each other directly by scanning the app’s QR code, without the need for an Internet package.

A 'what to eat' feature gives insight into the local ingredients or dishes to try.

It is also now possible to pre-register a credit card through the app.

MSC Cruises introduced Zoe, a virtual personal cruise assistant, on board MSC Bellissima in March. Zoe uses AI voice-activated technology that will also be available on MSC Grandiosa later this year.

November naming in Hamburg

Grandiosa, the company’s sixth connected cruise ship, is due to be christened in the Port of Hamburg on November 9. It will spend the winter season in the Mediterranean, calling at Barcelona, Palermo, Marseille and Valletta, Malta.
