MSC Meraviglia naming part of Le Havre's 500th anniversary celebrations
Le Havre is looking forward to celebrations spread across five months in summer 2017 to mark the city's 500th anniversary, and finishing with a Final Party on October 8.

The port city's former transatlantic terminal, usually unoccupied, will be open throughout the festivities; serving as a bar and concert venue in the day and turned into a club in the evenings.

The fish market, situated at the heart of Saint-François district, will be given a new lease of life by designers.

The Fort de Tourneville will present a free concert program throughout the summer together with workshops.

A floating Zen Temple in the midst of the La Barre Dock will welcome visitors wanting to place a wish there.

On June 4 the city will witness the naming of MSC Meraviglia, whilst it will stage the final leg of the Tall Ships Race, August 31 - September 3.

Passengers can board Queen Mary 2 for a transatlantic crossing to New Tork between September 15 to 22.
