Crystal River Cruises took delivery of its first newbuild, Crystal Bach, during a handover ceremony from MV Werften in Wismar, Germany.

'It is a thrill to welcome Crystal Bach to the family, as she is one of the most anticipated vessels to embark on Europe’s rivers in years,' Crystal ceo and president Edie Rodriguez said in the presence of local dignitaries, company officials and crew. She called Crystal Bach's design, abundant space, standard of amenities and luxury 'groundbreaking.'

Crystal Bach will sail the Rhine and Moselle rivers, traveling between Amsterdam and Frankfurt, and Amsterdam and Basel.

This is the first of four Rhine-class vessels. Each will offer butler service in every room category, king-sized beds, panoramic balcony-windows, walk-in closets and dual vanity in the bathrooms in most categories. ETRO robes and slippers, wall-mounted flat-screen HD televisions and Nespresso machines are other amenities.

The vessels will feature farm-to-table cuisine in multiple, open-seating eateries and offer Crystal signature venues like a Bistro café, Vintage Room and Palm Court lounge.
