Managing director Mike Rodwell thanked Philpot for his contribution to the business.
'The brand has benefited significantly from his insight and acumen over the years, and we wish him every success with his future plans,' Rodwell said.
Philpot joined Fred. Olsen in August 2011, with overall responsibility for sales, marketing and reservations for the UK and international markets. He also took charge of product development.
A replacement will be sought in due course, the line said. Neil Herbert will remain in charge of sales, supported by Jeremy Hatton, and Justin Stanton continues to head marketing.
