Norwegian Cruise Line's Miami-based ships are resuming their normal operations this weekend as Norwegian Sky sails Friday for the Bahamas and Norwegian Escape departs Saturday for the western Caribbean. Also, Norwegian Sky's Sept. 18 cruise to Cuba is confirmed.

Norwegian also confirmed Bahamas ports of call Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay were unaffected by Hurricane Irma.

As for Norwegian Sky's four-day cruise to Cuba on Monday, the line received confirmation that the port facilities in Havana were not impacted by the storm, and tour operators are ready to receive passengers for the Tuesday call.

Norwegian added that it's working with partners to assess impacts at eastern Caribbean ports. So far, as previously reported, all eastern Caribbean routes have been switched to the western Caribbean for the next two months.

'As it's still early, we will continue to keep in close contact with our partners on the ground and have the flexibility to alter future itineraries to ensure a great guest experience, if needed,' the company added.
