Two of P&O Cruises' established 'food heroes' have each devised new menu choices.

A destination-led menu from Marco Pierre White will be available on black tie gala evenings, inspired by 'British tradition with a sense of occasion using local and speciality ingredients,' according to P&O Cruises' svp Paul Ludlow.

And renowned French pâtissier Eric Lanlard has created a new dessert for the celebratory chef's dinner which takes place in main dining rooms once during every cruise.

Ludlow added: 'We take pride in serving dishes that have been created by experts and that contain the best of the best quality ingredients and we are constantly looking for ways to enhance the experience of our guests and make their cruise as special as possible. Marco Pierre White's outstanding new menus and Eric Lanlard's sumptuous sweets will add to the sense of occasion and enjoyment for our guests.'

Away from the restaurants, passengers on Azura will be able to take in a new 'Evolution Show' from British TV presenter and singer Johnathan Wilkes and, on Arcadia from next month, a new 'Money Makes the World Go Round' musical from celebrated UK stage performer Ruthie Henshall.

Elsewhere in the fleet, on Britannia, new family swimming and fitness lessons will be created by former British Olympic swimmer Mark Foster.

And in a nod towards 2017's milestone of 180 years of P&O history, a range of celebratory packages will be available to buy on each voyage. These six packages will include bottles of champagne, spa treatments, commemorative photo sessions, flowers, chocolates and dinner for two in a select restaurant.
