Majestic Princess has two new dining spots and shops including Bvlgari, Cartier, Gucci, Burberry and more
Harmony, created in partnership with chef Richard Chen, formerly of Wynn Las Vegas 'Wing Lei'—the first Chinese restaurant in North America awarded a Michelin star—is one of two new dining spots on China ship Majestic Princess.

Harmony will feature haute Chinese cuisine, Chen's interpretation of classic Cantonese dishes, paired with ocean views and modern décor.

The other new spot, Le Bistrot, located in the atrium, offers casual French home-style dining with a modern twist. Harkening back to an authentic Parisian bistrot, its menu features dishes like escargots casseroles, braised ox tongue and mushroom ragout, along with baquettes, tartines, tourtes and French patisseries.

There will be a wide selection of all-day dining in the World Fresh Marketplace (Horizon Court buffet on other ships), where food stations range from Mediterranean dishes, a pasta specialty counter, farmer’s market salads and fresh fruits and a new 'East Meets West' street food specialty counter. The bakery inside the World Fresh Marketplace will serve Western, European and Asian pastries and Danish.

Dining spots from sister ships Royal Princess and Regal Princess will also be aboard Majestic Princess. They include the Chef’s Table Lumiere, personally hosted by the executive chef; Crown Grill & Bar, an American steak house; and Alfredo’s, named for Princess master chef Alfredo Marzi, and serving classic Italian and signature Neapolitan-style pizzas along with baked pasta dishes and specialty appetizers and desserts.

Princess Cruises said the ship's interior design is influenced by fashion, art and history, to present a sophisticated and stylish visual experience representative of traveling the world. Materials include metal, glass, inlaid wood. European marble, mosaic tile floors and sumptuous fabrics. Plush custom-designed carpets in the corridors feature floral motifs that represent Asian-inspired beauty and grace. Hand-tufted area rugs located at the entrances to the main dining rooms also mirror floral motifs.

More than 80% of Majestic Princess staterooms have a balcony, and all accommodations feature the new Princess Luxury Bed with a custom-made mattress developed by Dr. Michael Breus, 'The Sleep Doctor,' and luxury linens designed by Candice Olson, the Canadian star of the hit HGTV shows 'Candice Tells All' and 'Divine Design.'

The first two production shows to be seen on the ship will be 'Fiera' and 'Fantastic Journey,' popular with international audiences across the Princess fleet. The ship also has Movies Under the Stars and Water Color Fantasy, a pool deck water and light show.

Other elements include SeaWalk, a glass-floor walkway over the sea; SeaView Bar, featuring flair bartending; and the Piazza Atrium, staging live entertainment throughout the day and evening. The atrirum is surrounded by The Shops of Princess, nearly 1,100 square meters of luxury boutiques with designer brand shops from Cartier, Bvlgari and Chopard, leather goods from Burberry and Gucci, along with watches by these luxury brands as well as Montblanc, Longines, Rado and Tissot, to name a few.

The inaugural voyage, a five-day Adriatic Sea cruise round-trip from Civitavecchia (Rome) with stops at Kotor and Corfu, is set for April 4.

After that Majestic Princess will operate seven-, 14- and 28-day cruises from Civitavecchia, Barcelona or Piraeus (Athens). A repositioning voyage from Barcelona on May 14 visits Dubai and Singapore before arriving at the ship's homeport, Shanghai.

Majestic Princess begins Shanghai sailings July 11 to a variety of destinations in Japan and Korea.
